ORACY HUB
Welcome to the Oracy Hub
Who we are….
The PTSA Oracy Hub are a collection of school leaders, SLEs and PLEs who have been involved with The Plymouth Oracy Project from September 2017. Building upon the positive findings of the independent research project, we are a keen group of educators who are working to provide continued Oracy CPD and development across the city. We are from a range of schools and educational establishments across the city.
Our Aims….
Our aim to promote and further develop the teaching and delivery of Oracy skills across the city of Plymouth. We aim to provide a platform for teachers to access high quality, local and national CPD and to share ideas and learning with each other. From our research starting points we hope to enable practitioners and students to continually develop and improve Oracy skills, producing well rounded, confident global citizens.
What we do…
We provide a range of CPD for both teaching staff and support staff and can provide personalised school to school support upon request. In addition, we are hoping to develop a range of events for pupils to practice their Oracy skills and support the Plymouth Rotary Youth Speaks project.
How to get involved…
Everyone is welcome to attend our PTSA Oracy Hub Meetings: an opportunity to network with colleagues from other schools and Oracy specialists (free of charge). For further support please contact dbriggs@plpcic.co.uk for more information and support.
