Drama – PLT Day

Hub Leader: Sam Jones 

8:30: Arrival/ Tea and coffee 

9:00-1:00 Key Note Speaker: Frantic Assembly workshop 

This will be a practical workshop exploring devising strategies and methodologies, based around their practice. We have informed them, that we are a highly experienced group of teachers who have all worked with them previously and we have asked for a developed workshop to coincide with their latest work and practices.  

Please bring clothes which will allow you to be comfortable in the practical workshops. Changing facilities are available  

1:00-1:30: Lunch Break

Refreshments will be provided; however, you are asked to provide your own lunch for the day 

1:30-2:45 The afternoon session is a chance to share best practice based around the areas which have arisen via our action research. 

We ask you to bring along a resource/lesson plan/scheme of work, for each of the following: 

1. Challenge within Lesson planning and SOW 
2. Assessment which showcases progress (this can be within lesson plans OR in tracking and assessment) 
3. How is literacy embedded at KS3/KS4? 
4. How do you engage boys (this could be shown via a lesson plan, engaging SOW, intervention which has been successful)? 

We will carousel 10 minutes at each station where teachers will have 5 mins to share ideas within the stated areas. 

2:45-3:00 Closing Comments: Introduction of the next moderation/exam analysis meeting on the Thursday 20th September at Heles School (invite to follow on Google Docs.) 

Please note that lunch is not included but is available to buy on the day.
