The EMA Hub provided by Plymouth Ethnic Minority Achievement Team working in partnership with PTSA, offers termly twilight CPD sessions, available to all schools and suitable for teachers across phases. Planned in response to the needs of the city, training is focused on supporting and promoting racial equality and cultural diversity in schools.

Let’s Celebrate Windrush

Outline: With ideas to support October’s Black History Month, this session will celebrate the impact and legacy of Windrush on British society. Exploring themes around migration, we will look at cross-curricular approaches to understanding diverse narratives, challenging stereotypes and increasing understanding of the richness of our culture as a city on the sea. Plenty of opportunities for discussion and shared ideas to take away.
