Progression in Primary Languages (Conference)

Progression in Primary Languages: 

This professional learning opportunity focuses on progression across the four skills of speaking, listening, reading and writing, and also the journey through KS2 building on these skills.

The first half of the day will highlight the importance of speaking and listening using interactive learning to demonstrate.  We will then consider the role of phonics and how it lays the foundation for successful reading and writing.

The second half of the day explores making reading and writing fun with a focus on cross-curricular links. Finally, participants will get the opportunity to share examples of practice within their own classrooms and engage in some peer moderation.
