Event Focus :

1)     Numicon and Cuisenaire – with an emphasis on problem solving

2)     Straws – how to make place value and calculation literally ‘child’s play’.

3)     Multi-link – it’s multi-purpose – Shape, area, division, sequences

4)     Playing cards – versatile and ace at supporting fluency

Above are the 4 sessions throughout the day. Essentially the focus is on using resources and the visual to support the teaching and learning of maths.
