THE FEBRUARY 1ST AND MARCH 1ST SESSIONS HAVE BEEN CANCELLED – APOLOGIES FOR ANY INCONVENIENCE
Research demonstrates that staff well-being has a significant impact of the well-being of pupils and their attainment. 2 x 2.5 hour sessions for staff focusing on how staff can take care of themselves in order to be emotionally, physically and functionally able to meet the needs of children in schools, especially those whose needs manifest in distressed and distressing behaviours.
Over 2 sessions, we will create a ‘safe space’ in which to explore some of the systemic, environmental, emotional and personal challenges that we experience in our workplaces, identifying common themes, sharing experience, approaches and ‘what works’, within a solution focused framework.
The second session will adopt a workshop-based approach to explore ‘good’ and ‘bad’ stress and to focus on practical skills, approaches and strategies to reduce the negative impact of stress and to increase well-being and resilience. These strategies can also be adapted for working with pupils.
