Curriculum Design and Implementation at Primary
The day will begin by taking attendees through the cognitive science underpinning the Reach Academy Feltham curriculum and give attendees the chance to reflect on what underpins their own curriculum. The second session will explore the knowledge-rich curriculum resources used at Reach and the rationale for the school’s approach, with a focus on History and Geography. The third session will explore what this looks like in the classroom and the way the school seeks to develop teachers’ practice through a range of 1:1 and team-wide CPD.
Facilitators: Ed Vainker & James Foreman, Reach Academy Feltham
Ed is the Executive Principal and co-founder of Reach Academy Feltham, an all-through school that opened in 2012 and has developed an excellent reputation.
