New to Headship
Introduction
This programme is an opportunity to explore the role and network with local new Headteachers. It has a clear focus on school improvement and how to plan for long term sustainable improvement. The sessions will cover the following:
- School Improvement planning
- SEF and inspection preparation
- Levels of accountability
- Managing staff and difficult conversations
- Working with governors and Trust Boards
- Headteacher Wellbeing
- The programme will also include an opportunity to visit another school in our locality and a residential visit to a group of schools/MAT outside of our area (Term 4)
Audience: Headteachers in first two years of Headship
