NASEN Session 3 – The Mechanics of Writing
PTSA is excited to offer 6 online sessions from the National Association for Special Educational Needs (NASEN) in order to support the teaching of SEN pupils within the primary classroom.
NASEN is the leading organisation in the United Kingdom which aims to promote the education, training, advancement and development of all those with special and additional support needs. They are providing 6 bespoke online sessions to increase teacher knowledge of different aspects of SEND and how these may affect a child’s learning. Teachers will also gain practical advice on how they can support these pupils to achieve their full potential in the primary classroom.
Session 3: Tuesday 3rd February 2026
The Mechanics of Writing. In this session we will take a deep dive into the mechanics of writing, what skills are needed by pupils in order to be successful writers, alongside where barriers could occur. We will then think about how difficulties with the mechanics of writing can be supported.

All 6 sessions can booked at a discount price of £125: https://www.ptsa.uk/events/25011/
