The Plymouth Oracy Project 2024
Plymouth Teachers and Schools Alliance (PTSA) are working with Plymouth Local Authority to deliver The Plymouth Oracy Project to primary schools in Plymouth throughout 2024. This Continuing Professional Development (CPD) programme is supported by a range of high-quality resources. Delivered by PTSA accredited trainers, it will build on the strong impact measures achieved in schools trained to date.
Programme Content to Include:
- Day One – Foundation Building Blocks for Oracy Development, Developing an Effective Model to Implement Oracy and Starter Activities to Develop Oracy in Schools. Thursday 11th January 2024; 9.30am – 3.30pm.
- Day Two – Vocabulary Development, Early Language Development. Thursday 22nd February 2024; 9.30am – 3.30pm.
- Day Three – An Introduction to Dialogic Teaching. Thursday 21st March 2024; 9.30am – 3.30pm.
- Day Four – Debate/ Presentational Talk. Thursday 18th April 2024; 9.30am – 3.30pm.
- Day Five – Visiting Good Practice in a Primary School and Impact Report Presentations. High View School – Thursday 23rd May 2024; 9.30am – 12.30pm
