The EMA Hub provided by Plymouth Ethnic Minority Achievement Team working in partnership with PTSA, offers termly twilight CPD sessions, available to all schools and suitable for teachers across phases. Planned in response to the needs of the city, training is focused on supporting and promoting racial equality and cultural diversity in schools.

There’s Nothing Casual About Racism

Outline: This CPD addresses the specific challenge around pupils using frequent, indiscriminate racist language that we know from schools reporting racist incidents, has increased significantly this year.

This up to date training, developed in collaboration with teachers, will provide understanding of the power of language in modern culture, and practical advice on how to challenge racism in schools through a positive, transformative approach.
